Uploading photos to the web taking too long?
Today's digital cameras take amazing pictures, however they traditionally, by default, are set to take very high resolution pictures. The intention is that they are for printing out in colour or being processed at a photo shop where the higher the quality the better.
These pictures have not been optimized in any way for publishing to the web for quick load times. When you upload these large pictures through Interface you can dramatically increase the speed in which your pictures are transferred by reducing the size of the picture. (without impacting its quality too much for the web)
While I would generally recommend in investing in a good photo editing program like Photoshop or Adobe Photoshop Album there are some good, basic featured, freebies you can get like Picasa from Google.

How do I resize my pictures?
Picasa resizes pictures in two ways: when you export pictures or when you email pictures.
Resizing options are available on the "Export" dialog. Email resizing options are available in Picasa's options (Tools > Options > E-mail).
At this time, Picasa can only reduce picture sizes; it cannot enlarge pictures.

Past Projects I Had Fun With Internet Broadcasting
One of the first attempts at launching a full commercial radio station on the web was My CityRadio.The idea was to operate much the same way as a radio station but accompany that with live video.
We assisted in the building of the broadcast network which was capable of re-broadcasting to feeder stations in full broadcast quality. Celebrity recruits from a popular radio station in Vancouver called CKNW, included the likes of David Berner, Fanny Kiefer, and Dan Russell from Sportstalk. There were also other talk shows, Jazz Shows, and Riot Radio led by the legendary punksuperstar, Joey Shithead of DOA. (once a political candidate for the Green Party)
